Joining Harvey and KCG as a full partner (both in life
and in business), the addition of Lillian Chen brings a
wealth of training and experience to our business and the
services we offer.
In 1991, Lillian graduated from Jiang Xi Financial and
Economic Institute, achieving their highest honors in both
their B.A. programs of Economics and Industrial Management.
Lillian continued her education doing graduate level studies
at Amoy University. There she again achieved their highest
scholastic honors in achieving a dual masters - an M.B.A.
and a Master's in Economics.
When getting close to finishing graduate school, she
found herself being recruited by many businesses in
China, and chose to join the Xiamen International Trading
Group.
Xiamen, a large city located in Fujian Province, is
on the southern coast of China. It sits directly across
the strait from the island of Taiwan, and is near the
city of Hong Kong. Lillian help to direct the IPO of
this company on the Chinese stock market in 1996. Ms.
Chen currently holds the position of Deputy Manager
in
the Dept. of Investment. This department is responsible
for both foreign and domestic investment in their development
of business and real estate ventures. This division
accounts for clearly one-third of its annual revenue,
and has
helped make it China's equivalent of a Fortune 1000
Company.
It was in the summer of 2002, and the stage is about
to be set for their partnership. Lillian was a foreign
exchange student and first met Harvey as fellow students
in the Dispute Mediation program sponsored by U.C.
Riverside. It was in this program that the first seeds
were planted,
cultivated and nourished.
Ms. Chen is 34 years old and the proud mother of a
6 year old daughter, Tangyue."
